The dawn of new ideas
Welcome to Abreskia, a project created to preserve and enhance Sardinia's cultural, economic, and human heritage.
We believe that every home, every tradition, and every person can contribute to generating a new model of sustainable development, rooted in memory and open to innovation. Our project was born in Samugheo (OR), in the heart of the Barigadu and Mandrolisai regions, with the aim of transforming a traditional Sardinian home into an Abreskia: a cultural center, a production center, and an artistic residence, a place where craftsmanship, agri-food, contemporary art, and widespread hospitality intertwine in a creative and participatory ecosystem. Abreskia will be a living, open, and ever-changing space—a laboratory of ideas, practices, and relationships—where artists, artisans, researchers, and travelers can meet, create, and share processes, knowledge, and visions. Here, the memory of the territory becomes living matter, capable of engaging with the most current forms of artistic and cultural research.
