Our Projects – Abreskia

Abreskia is a project that aims creating events cultural events in Sardinia that combine art, memory, craftsmanship and sustainability.
This section collects all the initiatives in progress“ dedicated to the promotion of the territory, communities and local traditions.

They are courses open to the participation of members, volunteers, artisans, artists and travellers who want to share experiences, knowledge and creativity.

Every project is born from the desire to build a living cultural network, where places and people meet to let a new Sardinia dawn.

Projects under development

Visual Roots – Art and Memory Residencies

A program of artistic residencies in Sardinia dedicated to the dialogue between contemporary art and memory of places. Artists explore landscapes, archives and communities, creating works, installations and visual narratives which tell the story of the territory's identity and transformations.

Objective: create a living archive of shared images, sounds, and stories.

Sound and Image – Audiovisual Experimentation Laboratory

A project by sound and visual research which combines multimedia languages, documentary and performance.
Through workshops and collective productions, we explore the relationship between voice, soundscape and visual storytelling.

Objective: develop a participatory audiovisual language, capable of connecting artists, technicians and the public.

Archive in Motion – Shared Memories

A project by participatory documentation which collects testimonials, photographs and videos on the cultural history of the area.
In collaboration with historical archives and local communities, the archive becomes the basis for exhibitions, installations and travelling productions.

Objective: transform the collective memory into a source of shared creativity and research.

Abreskia Network – Widespread Cultural Hospitality

Hospitality project for artists and operators who share the vision of a hospitable and sustainable culture.
We promote exchanges, traveling residencies and interdisciplinary collaborations between artistic, academic and social realities.

Objective: create connections between territories and people, promoting a culture of sharing and hospitality.

Natural cosmetics

Workshops to discover the remedies and scents of Sardinian nature:
Production of essential oils, artisanal soaps, lotions and natural ointments with local ingredients.
A way to rediscover the Sardinian herbal tradition and support practices eco-friendly.

Traditional bread making

Courses and meetings dedicated to preparation of typical Sardinian bread, led by expert bakers.
An experience that unites manual skills, conviviality and gastronomic culture.

Sardinian weaving

Practical activities to learn the traditional weaving techniques, creating carpets and artefacts that tell the story of the villages' identity.
A meeting between ancient arts and new generations.

Sardinian cuisine

Culinary experiences dedicated to island gastronomy: from typical dishes to genuine ingredients, each workshop is a journey into taste and memory.

Sustainable and community tourism

Abreskia promotes a model of sustainable tourism in Sardinia based on widespread hospitality, respect for the environment, and participation. We organize excursions, tastings, agricultural experiences And cultural itineraries in the villages of the interior, for a tourism that enhances people and places.

Abreskia is one space open to collaboration and we are currently looking for FOUNDING MEMBERS..
Artists, collectives, researchers and institutions are invited to participate in our developing programs, contributing ideas, energy and visions.
